After months of rediculous lockout laws and nightlife deminishing across the CBD, Sydney's iconic Gay and Lesbian parade and party brought back some sparkle and shine to a city in need of a reboot.

After a long period of lockouts, and last drinks, the nanny state finally got its shine on. With over 12,500 parade participants, including some very savvy "MAGS"  who are known as Mature Aged Gays fronted the biggest pride parade in years.

The after party included a special elevated space for VIPS and 78'ers - who were the first in line years ago for Australia's equality movement.. they got to see over 13,000 party goers dance the night away to rnb superstar, Deborah Cox, and drag superstars, Maxi Shield (official vip host for Madonnas tour) and Courtney Act (Global MG Ambassador) amongst other DIVA drag queens.

The party went right through to 8am, when senior members of our community walked back to Oxford Street to continue the celebrations.
