Minister for Ageing Peter Primrose honoured the contributions of 60 outstanding New South Wales seniors today at a ceremony held at the City Recital Hall in Sydney.
The NSW Seniors Week Achievement Awards recognises outstanding leadership, initiative and contributions made by seniors and seniors’ organisations to the wider community.
Mr Primrose said it was a pleasure to present this year’s winners with their awards.
“These individuals and organisations are the ones who really make a difference in our community. Each one of them generously devotes their time, resources and energy to helping others.

The NSW Seniors Week Award Ceremony launches 2011 NSW Seniors Week which features more than 700 events throughout the State.
“Seniors Week is a celebration the contribution of our seniors to community life,” Mr Primrose said.
“Seniors will have an opportunity to learn or participate in something new with events taking place all around NSW”
NSW Seniors Week is in its 53rd year and events will be held from 20 to 27 March.
NSW Seniors Week is organised and funded by Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC).
