So headphones are a users choice, for sure. But these days, you could be forgiven to be confused to spend huge amounts of money on Beats and other brands that offer a decent headphone, but in reality, you are paying for brand endorsement deals.
AustralianSenior.com was sent the JBL Live 660NC Wireless headphones to review (we were not sponsored or paid to review them) and after a fortnight of constant use, I can safely say, that these bad boys ROCK!
Not only from a price point, but the audio is also adjustable according to your own preferences via the app, and you can connect to your phone, your computer, your tv, anything with Bluetooth… there is even a wired option so you can plug in “old skool” to a 3.5mm jack port.
The BEST thing about these headphones is that it’s not just one feature that sells them to us older folk.
The app and integrated easy to use setup systems are a breeze, the inbuilt audio levels mean that the headphones will never bust your eardrums with large DBs (ok some of us that love our pop and rock loud may not like this feature – but it will save your hearing!) and you can set different EQ levels for different types of music.
There ARE a fair few buttons and flicky things that could be confusing, but after a few goes, it’s pretty easy to use. the headphones even have a left and right graphic imprint so you can put them on your head properly.
The supplied headphone bag, chords and etc all make it portable, easy to keep all the items together, and usable in a lot of situations.
The only downside to the product is that the printed user guide supplied with the product has really small text, so isn’t friendly to those with eyesight issues, even with glasses. We had to go online to get some help with the setup and use of the headphones.
All in all, these headphones are comfortable, wireless, or wired – your preference, and work really well. you can have them cut out the ambient sound completely, or have them have sound come through – so great for home use, traveling, work, and more.
